It's been a MySpace music morning. So far I've listened to a few music recommendations friends passed along and a few of my friends' original songs. I can't help but sit and think about the pull and weight of music on the soul this morning. Even without words, music gives voice to the wonderings, doubts, fears, hopes, sorrows, celebrations, dreams, frustrations, passions, regrets and on and on. How can two people listen to the same song and have two completely different experiences? Ma...

Hey All! Hope you have a good time looking around the new website. It's been such a busy year so far and for that I am thankful. Finally I am in a place where leading worship and writing music is where my whole focus can be. Well, besides trying to learn how to garden since we bought a new house. We feel like a couple of city slickers with bunnies, squirrels and birds living in our back yard. We have a host of flowers springing up, a grape vine, fruit trees...all planted by the previous...

| | Return to Biloxi...

Hope. Redemption. Joy. All of these hover over Bay Vista Baptist
church and swooped down to grab my heart last weekend. I returned to
the same church that Rocky and I went down to join in relief efforts
after Hurricane Katrina, this time to lead worship and share music.
It is amazing to see the restoration that has taken place. To think
of the town I grew up being ravaged the way Biloxi was. There is a
mourning over the establishments that are no longer...the favorit...

Greetings from the tundra where I’m snowed in at the Holiday Inn. This is crazy weather (the snow blows sideways). I’m having flashbacks of my 4 years at Syracuse University. I’m here touring Western New York and Southern Ontario to promote the Kingdombound Festival. Visit www.kingdombound.org to learn more about their annual summer Christian Music Festival. This will be my third year there and it has become like summer camp for me. I look forward to it all year long. This year’s lin...

Go
Anadara Arnold / Isabelle Arnfjell
This is the first song I wrote with Isabelle Arnfjell, a talented singer/songwriter from Sweden. She and I got along famously and had a lot in common. We especially connected over the fact that both of us felt that we had to continually step out of our comfort zones to go where we believed God was calling us. We discussed the scriptures in Exodus 4:10-12 where God basically says to Moses “Go, and I will be with you”. It’s amazing how God first asks Mose...

"Faith never knows where it is being led, but it loves and knows the One who is leading." -Oswald Chambers
I had to shout out loud when I read this quote because my heart almost burst out of my chest! Oswald Chambers has a way of articulating the things in my heart that are begging to be explained. The last year of my life has been a long journey toward understanding how fear, faith and freedom have everything to do with each other. I’m going to attempt to elaborate on what Oswald Chambers...
